This is one of the best restaurants we have been to. The atmosphere is friendly, there is always something that everyone can enjoy whether you're 60 or 4 years old. if it's not on the menu, their wonderful chef and staff will make sure that you have what you would like. the service is warm and friendly and they remember your name. Wow! What a treat. We had driven by the place over and over again and there was always cars parked there no matter the time of the day and now I know why! The menu, which consists mostly of the good old hardy foods - meat and potatoes stuff - is absolutely fantastic. We were always searching for a great place to eat in Peterborough that we both could love and coming up short. We have found a great love in Uncle Georges. Sometimes the wait staff is not as good as other times, but the meal is always outstanding. We have been there 4 times in the past 4 months and love it. We will be back. Whether or not the menu changes in the summer I don't know but the prime rib is absolutely to die for. Read more

Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more

I'm not sure what restaurantica12 problem is with this restaurant. Me and my husband comes here about once a month and it's fantastic, except simetimes when he gets the full rack of ribs one of them isn't the greatest. And honestly it's the best meal for your buck. Sure I'll go back. It's a pub with a great pub atmosphere - good selection of brew on tap. Great nachos - really good value on that - and why not? It keeps you drinking! The other food we had was fine and good value for the price. Service was friendly and attentive. Not all gorgeous as one reviewer wrote (probably an employee) but very good at the job.
