I first went to Gigi's in 2011 with a groupon and met Audrey (Gigi's daughter). I've been going to her ever since!!! We've been trough a lot together (through dark brown to blonde and back a couple of times haha). My hair has always been very tricky because it's naturally curly and I straighten it all the time, and she ALWAYS makes sure to do the very best for my hair, ie ensuring the colour we go with is nourishing and doing a deep conditioning treatment pretty much every time (she's even given me samples). ALL at a price 30-50% lower that I have paid in the past especially for being so close to downtown Van.
Also, it's got reddish undertones, so she's very careful when I go lighter to ensure that I'm not too brassy (she knows what I like and makes sure to always verify what I want and ensure that I am happy with my results! One time, after a wash or two I went a bit brassy and she even invited me back and did a complimentary toner for me!! I'm very spontaneous so she's always fitting me in at the last minute, I may have to wait a bit because she's busy, but it's worth it :) I go so much that now when I go there, I feel like I'm family! Whenever I go, I KNOW that I will be getting the best value and amazing service! Don't miss out on finding this Diamond in the Ruff- I'm sure glad that I did!! Thanks Audrey, Gigi and the crew!!
