Hydraulic seeding, also called hydro-seeding, is a quick and little-targeted substitute for the installation of sod (peat). This chosen process consists of mixing the seeds with fertilizer, a binding product and mulch with water in precise proportions inside a tank. This mixture is then projected on the surface to be sown using a machine equipped with a powerful pump, mounted on a trailer or an all-terrain truck. Mulch made from recycled paper or other binder forms an environment that retains moisture, protects seeds during germination, prevents erosion and water runoff.
