FYidoctors - Tecumseh

Dr Tim Peters is a lifelong "Windsorite". He completed a Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Windsor and went on to complete the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo in 1999. He completed his Ocular Pathology and Therapeutics externship at Omni Eye Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters worked at a leading LASIK Centre and shortly thereafter became a partner at Windsor Vision Centre as well as Tecumseh Vision Centre. Dr. Peters' has volunteered with Canadian Vision Services to provide eye care to those in need in Guyana. Outside of work he enjoys spending his free time with his family, traveling and a variety of outdoor activities. Dr. Peters continues to work at both our Windsor and Tecumseh locations.

Dr. Abee Azar was born in the Middle East, but grew up in Windsor, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2001. In her final year of the optometry program, she completed training in Ocular Disease & Therapeutics at the Eye Foundation of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Azar joined the Windsor Vision Centre as an Associate in 2004, where she continues to provide dedicated and comprehensive eye care to all her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Azar enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling and volunteering with local non-profit organizations. Dr. Azar always welcomes new patients at our Windsor location and offers eye exams in English and Arabic.

Dr. Angela Farah was born and raised in Windsor and completed her BSc with a major in Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. In 2018, she completed her Doctor of Optometry at Aston University in Birmingham, UK and was certified in Therapeutic Prescribing Agents by Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She went on to gain experience in practices across England as a locum optometrist and is now happily practising in her hometown after living away for ten years. Dr. Farah enjoys the diversity of full scope optometry and is dedicated to providing thorough and comprehensive eye care to her patients. She is particularly intrigued by how systemic diseases affect the eyes, an interest that drove her to write her dissertation on the ocular manifestations of multiple sclerosis. In her spare time, Dr. Farah loves spending time outdoors and being active with friends and family. She also enjoys listening to music, learning how to play new instruments and experiencing different cultures through travel.

Dr. Jamie Larocque was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. He attended the University of Windsor for his Bachelor of Science. He went on to graduate school at Indiana University School of Optometry and became a Hoosier for four years. Windsor called Jamie back home upon his graduation in 2000 and he began his career in both family practice and LASIK Centre environments. He continues to hold both an Ontario and Michigan license to practice, and is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. In 2003, Jamie joined Windsor Vision Centre as owner and partner and soon after opened Tecumseh Vision Centre with his partners. He continues to work at both locations exclusively. Through years of patient-focused practice, he is proud of the growth and care provided to his community. His outside interests include sporting events, outdoor activities, and camping with his family.
