My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food. Read more

Most food is locally sourced and the beer has a local theme too. Sonita tries to get beer from within 100 miles of the pub, and a lot of the food is sourced from the same area. The menu is upscale pub food with a seasonal twist. Spring Leek Salad, Local Lamb, Crab Apple Salad, fondue with cheese made with local beer, etc.I usually get the fondue as the portion is huge and it is about $10.00, or I get wings in the evening when they are half price. FIre and ice are great!The place has a large patio which is usually fairly busy. Inside, it is typical pub decor with a homey feel to it. Pub quiz night is a solid night to go on to get to know the owners and regulars. I find it better to go to the bar to order your drinks, as table service can be a bit lacking. Taps total 20, including Railway City, Stratford, Creemore,Black Oak, Great Lakes, Steamwhistle, and the bottle selection is limited but has included many micros. I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. I do not think there is a lunch place anywhere else in London that can match Nooners for quality, speed and value. Read more
